The Pain You Bore

Thank you Father for your love,

for coming down from up above.

For reaching out your hand so kind,

for saving me, I was so blind.

A God so loving, you gave your son,

to pay the price, for the sin I’d done.

How could I know the pain you bore,

as they spit in your face and garments they tore.

With nails in your hands and thorns in your head,

forgive them Father is what you said.

A love so deep, how could it be,

you would save a sinner such as me.

Luke 23:24

Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they

know not what they do. And they parted

his garment, and cast lots.
